Urinary Tract Infection among the Protein Energy Malnutrition Patients

Background: Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is a common health problem in children.
It is the second highest cause of morbidity in children after respiratory tract
infections. It is one of the important clinical condition in pediatric practice because
of its potentiality to cause silent, serious and irreversible damage to immature
kidney.
Objective: This study aimed to determine the frequency of urinary tract infection in
protein energy malnutrition children.
